JOHN W. HIGGINS
John W. Higgins is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Higgins Development Partners, a Chicago-based real estate development firm, which he founded in 1980 as Walsh, Higgins & Company. He oversees all phases of its real estate activities and plays an active role in real estate development decisions and major consulting assignments. Mr. Higgins personally has a history of very successful projects in the City of Chicago and has worked extensively with local governmental agencies in the coordination and execution of real estate development across the country.
Mr. Higgins has successfully led the company's growth through its 22-year history starting with speculative office development in west suburban Chicago and expanding to urban office development, master-planned business communities, industrial facilities, and government and institutional buildings. Today, with over $4 billion in development value completed, Higgins Development Partners serves the public and private sectors in markets across the United States and Canada through its offices in Chicago, Washington, D.C., Morristown, NJ, Newport Beach, CA and Toronto, Canada.
Mr. Higgins has 30 years of real estate development experience in the United States and Canada. Prior to founding Higgins Development Partners, Mr. Higgins was responsible for real estate equity and debt structuring at Percy Wilson Mortgage & Finance Corporation and was in the Commercial Real Estate Finance Division at the First National Bank of Chicago.
